Grow the rainforest
Begin with a barren patch of land, grow plants, and create the right habitats for animals. Watch seedlings become trees, flowers bloom, and fruit ripen as the first signs of a living ecosystem appear.
Grow a living rainforest
Start with a barren patch of land and shape it into a rainforest where plants, animals, and ecological relationships can thrive. Every action moves the ecosystem forward until the relationships you build begin to sustain themselves.
Begin with a barren patch of land, grow plants, and create the right habitats for animals. Watch seedlings become trees, flowers bloom, and fruit ripen as the first signs of a living ecosystem appear.
Plants and animals interact with the world around them, and you can influence them. Click to pollinate flowers, drop fruit, hunt prey, create burrows, release swarms, pupate butterflies, and poop to spread seeds.
As the rainforest develops, unlock automation for the actions you have been doing yourself. Pollinators visit flowers, fruit falls, animals feed, predators hunt, insects work, and seeds spread as nature begins to take over.
Build terra firma forests, whitewater floodplains, blackwater channels, coastal mangroves, and Andean cloud forests. Each biome brings different species, conditions, and ecological relationships.
Polyzonia takes you to many different biomes across the Amazon basin. Fruit falls into flooded forests where fish gather beneath the canopy. Electric eels strike in dark blackwater. Mangrove roots shelter young animals. Cloud forest birds dance to attract mates.
Polyzonia grew out of the response to PolyPine, Cloudberry Pine's first game. Players connected with its relaxing atmosphere and ecological systems, and asked for more content, larger forests, a longer campaign, and deeper species interactions.
The Amazon rainforest became the natural next setting: a place where those ideas could expand into richer food webs, more intricate mutualisms, rainforest succession, and a much larger cast of plants and animals.
